Gold, glimmer and time: how I budget both grinds
I run two game wallets and one clock. I learned budgeting the hard way after I blew a full week of farm gold on bags I never needed. I never buy power I can farm in two calm evenings. I buy time only around launch crunches like November 4 and raid unlocks on December 9.
What an hour farms in Riverglades
I timed three calm evenings in Riverglades with a stopwatch on my phone and a Skyborne at level 26. I skipped elite packs and I looped river quests with skinning on every wolf. I banked quest gold plus vendor trash plus two cloth stacks per hour. I wrote down repair costs after each death near the bridge camp. I compared that rate to Mount Hyjal edges where respawns run faster but travel eats minutes. Riverglades won for me by a small margin on weekdays. I run that loop on Monday and Wednesday for two hours max. I stop when bags fill because backtracking kills the rate. I log each run in one line with date and coin total.
